Welcome to GymStats ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how your data is handled. This Privacy Policy explains how the GymStats mobile application ("App") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.

GymStats is a fitness tracking application designed to help you log workouts, track exercises, monitor progress, and achieve your fitness goals.

Your fitness data is personal and remains under your control.

Summary

GymStats is a fully offline application. All data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers. We do not collect, access, or share any personal information.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weights, notes)
• Custom exercises and workout templates
• Cardio activity data
• Optional body measurements (e.g. weight)
• Personal records calculated from workouts
• App preferences (language, theme, timers)

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Location or GPS data
• Device or advertising identifiers
• Analytics or usage tracking
• Photos, contacts, or media files
• Financial or payment data
• Data from other apps or services

How Your Data is Stored

All data is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. No internet connection is required and no data is transmitted externally.

Backup and Export

• Export data to a local JSON file
• Import previously exported backups
• Share workout summaries manually using device features

When exporting or sharing data, you are responsible for how that data is handled outside of the app.

Permissions

• Vibration – haptic feedback for timers
• Notifications – rest timer alerts
• Storage (Android 9 and below) – backup import/export
• Foreground service – keep timers running in background

Data Sharing and Third Parties

GymStats does not sell, share, or transmit user data to third parties. The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or online services.

Data Security

Your data is protected by your device’s security mechanisms. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data. We cannot access or recover your data.

Data Retention

Data remains on your device as long as the app is installed. You may delete your data at any time or uninstall the app.

Children’s Privacy

GymStats does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. No personal information is collected or transmitted.

Your Rights

• Access all data within the app
• Export data in portable format
• Edit or delete data at any time

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above.
